Say what you ate
Type it the way you would tell a friend. Name the amounts you know, the rest becomes a usual portion you can correct.
"a plate with 100 g of steak and fries"

Say what you ate, snap it or scan the barcode. Lean State is the calorie and macro tracker that does the counting, on iOS and in the browser.

A model names the food and guesses the grams. You check the grams.
A packaged food comes with its values.
No match for the barcode? Read the table off the pack.
What you ate before is one tap away, even offline.
How it works
Two eggs and a toast with butter. That is all it needs.
The foods come back with their amounts. Fix one that is off, or add a sentence.
Calories and macros land in today, and the ring shows what is left.
Today
What is left, and how the protein, the carbs and the fat are coming along. Calories follow from the macros, not the other way round.
From the beta
The photo gets the food right. I only fix the grams.Only when a meal you usually log is missing, and in the evening when nothing is logged.
What is left and your streak, without opening the app. A tap opens the camera.
How the week went, against your goals, in one look.
Questions
Lean State is a calorie and macro tracker for iPhone and the browser. You describe a meal in a sentence, take a photo of it, scan a barcode or read the nutrition label, and it works out the calories, protein, carbs and fat.
Open Quick add and write what you ate, for example "two eggs and a toast with butter". Lean State turns the sentence into foods with grams and nutrition values. Name the amounts you know; the rest becomes a usual portion you can correct.
Naming the food is reliable, the amount is an estimate. Lean State marks the amounts it is unsure about, so you check those grams before you log. A sentence like "fried in butter" corrects what the photo cannot show.
Lean State is hosted in the EU, and photos and sentences are read by a model within the EU. There are no ads, and what you eat is not for sale.
The iPhone app does: entries and your saved foods stay on the phone and go out once the connection is back. Reading a photo or a sentence needs a connection, and so does the browser version.
Not yet. Lean State runs in any modern browser, on Android too, with the same account as the iPhone app.
On iOS and in the browser, with one account.
